Seventh anniversary of the liberation of Severodonetsk and Popasna

The twentieth of July 2014 was marked by the liberation of a number of cities occupied by pro-Russian forces by Ukrainian soldiers. It was a powerful wave of Ukrainian resistance, which is so lacking now.
Units of Sector A have launched an operation to liberate the Lysychansk-Severodonetsk agglomeration. The operation to liberate these two cities of Luhansk region began on July 22, 2014.
Today, the whole of Ukraine celebrates the seventh anniversary, when our Ukrainian flag fluttered over Severodonetsk.

Today, the whole of Ukraine celebrates the seventh anniversary, when our Ukrainian flag fluttered over Severodonetsk.
On that day, a fierce firefight took place in the city with the use of small arms, grenade launchers and heavy armored vehicles. Units of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer battalions attacked the LNR armed formations from three sides. In the afternoon, two columns of anti-terrorist operation forces – one from Stara Krasnytsia and the other from Varvarivka – entered Severodonetsk. The militants left the city.
The National Guard and the Chernihiv Battalion entered Severodonetsk victoriously. Locals greeted them with Ukrainian flags. People organized a rally in honor of the liberation of the city from militants. The Ukrainian flag is raised over Severodonetsk.
Soldiers of the Luhansk 1, Donbass, Chernihiv and Aidar battalions, as well as the 24th, 30th, 51st and 95th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine restored peaceful civilized life in the homes of the city’s residents.
On the same day in 2014, the industrial town of Luhansk region Popasna was liberated from the militants. ATO forces carried out three assaults on the city and only the third was successful. Then the Ukrainian artillery struck a powerful blow at the fortifications and dens of the enemy, except for firing points in residential buildings. Ukrainian units entered Popasna without a fight. Ukrainian flags fluttered above the administrative buildings.

A low bow and eternal memory to the heroes who gave their lives in the struggle for the Ukrainian city. We thank the Ukrainian soldiers for their courage and victory and we believe that very soon the Ukrainian flag will fly in every occupied city.
Glory to the Ukrainian army!
Glory to Ukraine!
