On March 24, the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Colonel general Oleksandr Syrsky, visited the Turkish defense company Aselsan during his visit to Turkey. The Ukrainian Ground Forces are interested in Turkish air defense systems, combat modules, as well as decisions on the modernization of tanks, which are already being implemented by the Turkish Armed Forces.

Aselsan office in Ukraine – Aselsan Ukraine, which is a member of the Association of Ukrainian Defense Manufacturers, informed us that the Commander met with Aselsan Vice Presidents Bayram Gençcan, Osman Devrim Fidanci and Aselsan Ukraine CEO Mr. Mehmet Özgüçlü, who introduced with Aselsan solutions for air defense, UAV counteraction systems, remote combat modules and modernization of tanks already in service with the Turkish Armed Forces and allies.

Aselsan Ukraine (ASUK) is 100% owned by the Turkish company Aselsan and was founded in August 2020, and in June 2021 ASUK will open its office in the Leonardo business center in Kyiv.

Mr. Mehmet Ozgüçlü, General Director of Aselsan Ukraine, maintains constant business relations with the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the Ukrainian defense industry, to promote a wide range of Aselsan products. In addition, together with Ukrainian partners, ASELSAN has already implemented successful export projects in several third countries.
