The head of the Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Military Equipment of Ukraine, Ruslan DZHALILOV commented on KHOMCHAK’s statement not to receive weapons against drones and snipers

The head of the Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Military Equipment of Ukraine, Ruslan DZHALILOV, commented on Mr. KHOMCHAK’s statement that the electronic weapons for combating enemy drones announced in December would no longer be available to the Ukrainian military by the end of 2020.

Mr. JALILOV, in particular, noted that in order to avoid such situations in the future, it is necessary to connect their producers to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary weapons and equipment, and not leave the army without the necessary international and domestic bureaucracy. for their money: in the end, the state must be the customer and owner of the latest Ukrainian developments and dispose of them (developments) in their favor. After all, a company that has developed a unique technology is free to sell it at its discretion, and it is not surprising that through clever intermediaries this technology will fall into the hands of our enemies, “said Mr. Dzhalilov.

“The Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Military Equipment of Ukraine has always advocated and advocates direct dialogue on the implementation of the needs of troops in the latest models of weapons. We are for the support of the domestic manufacturer and the creation of a powerful defense-industrial complex of Ukraine “- summed up Ruslan DZHALILOV.

It will be recalled that Ruslan Khomchak, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said in an interview with Obozrevatel about the fact that our military did not receive weapons.

Khomchak clarified that it is, in particular, about Lithuanian electronic systems.
He explained the delay in the supply of new weapons by the new procurement procedure – through the NATO open area, namely the bureaucratic issues that arose in this regard (issuance of relevant permits, documents, etc.).

“The contract has been signed, payment has been made, and I think we will receive everything in a few months,” he explained.

“Also, the military will not receive anti-sniper systems, as Ukrainian manufacturers did not have time. At the same time, the same complexes purchased from foreign manufacturers arrived on time a few years ago, ”said KHOMCHAK.

Although foreign anti-sniper systems, according to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, are ineffective in the current conditions, so these weapons “lie in a box and do not work in war.”
