UkrOboronProm (Ukrainian Defence Industry) demonstrated a promising Ukrainian IFV


For the first time in Ukraine, a visualization of a promising heavy infantry fighting vehicle was demonstrated, the development of which is being carried out on the state defense order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – web-portal  slovoidilo.ua.

Heavy infantry fighting vehicle (BMPV) has a hybrid power plant, digital control system, armor and additional protection of at least 6 STANAG. The total weight of the armored vehicle is 36 tons, it can carry eight landing fighters, the crew – three people.

BMPV uses the tank running gear of the T-64 tank. Another version uses tank running gear of the T-84 “Oplot” (Оплот).

The Digital Unified Management System is developed taking into account the requirements for standardization and unification of weapons and can be used on other models of military equipment.

BMPV armament includes a 30-mm autocannon 2A42, paired with 7.62-mm PK, machine gun NSV-12.7 mm, mounted on a remote weapon module, UAG-40 automatic grenade launcher, the anti-tank missile system “Barrye” with a missile control channel complex.

The armored models of the corps successfully passed 5 stages of tests and withstood shelling of 30 mm caliber (the main caliber of most Russian armored vehicles) from a distance of 200 m and cumulative and armor-piercing sub-caliber shells of 125 mm (main caliber of Russian tanks) from a distance of 500 m.
