Today the test of the modernized missile complex “Villema-M” has been tested, missiles capable of striking the target almost twice as long as those that are in service.

This was reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchinov after the completion of the tests at the military training ground in the Odessa region.

The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reminded that last year the mass production of a new powerful high-precision missile complex “Velya”, adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, began to be launched, “the missiles of which exactly hit the target at a distance of 70 km.”

“But our designers and manufacturers continued their persistent work on the further development of missile technology, and today there were very important tests of the modernized complex” Villa-M “, whose new missiles strike at a distance of 130 km”

According to Oleksandr Turchinov, during the tests, the use of new missiles for the purpose of destroying the maximum range, as well as the accuracy and efficiency of the destruction of the target were tested. “Also checked the work of the new control system, the effectiveness of new navigation equipment, and the quality of the new start-up control system,” he said.

Turchinov said that in the near future, it is expected to complete the development of a new generation of missiles of this class, capable of striking targets at distances of more than 200 kilometers.
