International Scientific and Technical Conference “Prospects for the Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Land Forces”

The Public Association “Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Military Equipment of Ukraine” took part in the annual International Scientific and Technical Conference “Prospects for the Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Land Forces”, which took place on May 16-17, 2019 at the National Land Forces Academy named after Hetman Petra Sagaidachny (m Lviv).

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the results of scientific research on weapons and military equipment of the Land Forces, exchange of experience in scientific and scientific-technical activities, preparation of recommendations for further directions and ways of solving problem issues. Each participant had the opportunity to speak and take part in the discussion.

The Association was informed by the Head – Ruslan Jalilov. First of all, he briefly described the activities of the Association, the perspective tasks, as well as 5-year achievements in the development and serial supply of weapons and military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main themes of the speech were:

– Issues of development of weapons and equipment and ways of their solution;

– The activities of private enterprises in the development and serial supply of weapons and ammunition.

During the report, Ruslan Volodymyrovych paid attention not only to the achievements in the defense industry sector, but also emphasized those tasks that failed to succeed. In particular, the deregulation of issues of the creation and production of armaments and military equipment, which are so expected by state and private enterprises, remains a pressing issue.

In the presented presentation, the presenters got acquainted with the current problems and ways of their solution. During the discussion, the conference participants agreed with the speaker and recognized the importance and relevance of the problems identified.

In conclusion, the samples of weapons and military equipment were presented to the audience, among which the Association members were the producers.
