Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksandr Myroniuk during the online conference “On the state of implementation of state defence order for 2021 and the prospects of rearmament of the Ukrainian army with new models of weapons”, which took place on Friday, April 16, said that the Defence Ministry is constantly trying to maintain the necessary stock of the entire range of ammunition in the Armed Forces – according to Defense Express.

According to him, the necessary products are purchased with the help of some western platforms, offers of special exporters and domestic enterprises.

“We are trying to keep the balance of ammunition (in the Armed Forces) at the required level. If we see that there is a failure, we react immediately. We immediately give instructions for the manufacture of these ammunition in Ukraine. If the needs are not met by the Ukrainian defence industry, then there are (other) resources that will meet them within the defence order,”- said Olexander Myroniuk.

There are several companies in Ukraine (both public and private) that try to manufacture and supply various types of ammunition to the Armed Forces.

At the same time, all ammunition purchased from any source is carefully checked. There is a certain procedure for checking the characteristics and quality of ammunition, and if they do not meet the appropriate parameters, they are returned as part of a financial guarantee to suppliers.
